Melton College
Melton College is a language college where students learn English in York. The college required a new website to market their services to prospective clients and provide essential information to their students. Working with a design created by Sarah Booth of Designpix, we built a responsive site with smooth functionality across a full range of screen sizes from smartphones, tablets and laptops to the largest computer monitors. The site features a bespoke WordPress content management system (CMS) which allows the administrators to change content such as images and copy as required. Special features of the site include an integrated fees calculator application which calculates the cost of the college’s services as determined by the user’s selections from a series of drop-down menus and check-boxes. An integrated course application form provides a simple interface for the user and feeds information to the college administrators. Our work on this project was led by Richard Lane and John Hughes, who focused on application building, and front-end/back-end coding respectively.
