Art in Yorkshire
Art in Yorkshire is a region-wide collaboration launched by York Museums Trust to promote and celebrate Yorkshire’s publicly funded art galleries and museums. The Art in Yorkshire team required a website which would allow them to present visitors with information on Yorkshire’s artists, exhibitions, venues and films in a clear, aesthetically pleasing manner.
We developed a bespoke WordPress-based content management system for Art in Yorkshire’s website which allows the site’s administrators to edit, add or remove copy, rich media and listings as and when required.
Our web design for the site works with Art in Yorkshire’s existing branding to achieve an attractive and on-brand interface. Key aspects of the site design include an events calendar with integrated map feature and lightbox displays which allow an optimal experience of viewing featured artworks for the user.
artinyorkshire.org.uk has been developed as a responsive website, meaning it maintains high levels of functionality across a range of devices, including smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.
