York Health Economics Consortium

York Health Economics Consortium (YHEC) has a global reputation for health economics and outcomes research, with more than 500 research publications to its name. However, its previous website did not reflect that expertise or influence.

We redesigned the website to strengthen YHEC’s brand, reduce technical complexity, and improve performance. We curated the data behind its publications, so visitors can filter the full library and search a glossary of health economics terms. We also built a bespoke course booking integration that enables clients to book multiple delegates onto a course at once. The accessible, high-performing website reinforces YHEC’s position as an authority in its field and supports its long-term growth.

The Association for Perioperative Practice

For more than 60 years, the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) has supported and trained the professionals who work in operating theatres across the UK. AfPP needed a website that would amplify its voice in the sector and act as a central resource for theatre professionals, including those looking for their next role.

Castlegate IT took over the management of AfPP’s website, restructuring the homepage to show the organisation’s value and how practitioners can become involved. We merged its separate careers website into the main platform and added filtering to streamline job searches, providing theatre professionals with one place to find both resources and roles. The website has raised AfPP’s profile and supported recruitment across the sector. We continue to provide consultancy and proactive optimisation in support of its long-term goals.

The REFoRMS Project

The REFoRMS Project is a University of York research programme focused on treatments for children and young people whose rhabdomyosarcoma (a rare soft tissue cancer) has returned or not responded to treatment. We built a bespoke WordPress website around a searchable database of more than 175 published studies and 62 clinical trials. It provides researchers, clinicians, and families with trusted, freely accessible evidence in one place.

Visitors can filter studies and trials to find relevant evidence quickly. We designed the website to be navigable without specialist knowledge, so families considering treatment options can use it as confidently as clinicians. No account is required, so the information remains open to everyone who needs it.

Malpas House School of Dental Nursing

Founded by a practising dental surgeon, Malpas House School of Dental Nursing is an accredited training centre specialising in the Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing. As a newly established school, it required a complete brand identity and a new website, with a look distinct from its co-owned dental practice but visually connected to it.

We designed the school’s logo, typography, and colour palette. We then structured the website to present course and accreditation information clearly, including entry requirements, General Dental Council standards, and the role of workplace mentors. Tutor profiles and bespoke photography build trust with prospective students and sponsoring dental employers. A structured application form captures the information the school requires from applicants and is ready for payment integration in future.
