The Association for Perioperative Practise (AfPP)
The Association for Perioperative Practise (AfPP) is the UK’s leading organisation for medical theatre practitioners, and has been providing support and training to the sector for over 60 years.
The challenge
AfPP’s website was built on an off-the-shelf WordPress theme that limited functionality and prevented AfPP from effectively conveying their mission or promoting their work.
They needed the website to amplify their voice in the sector, drive membership, increase event attendance, and act as a central resource for theatre professionals looking for work.
The solution
Castlegate took over the management of AfPP’s website, adding custom functionality into the existing theme without rebuilding it.
We restructured the homepage to showcase AfPP’s value and make it clear how medical professionals can get involved or access support. An accessible news hub spotlights industry updates while a new events menu publicises conferences and webinars.
We also merged a separate careers website with the main platform and incorporated filtering to streamline job searches and make it easier for theatre practitioners to find their ideal role.
