Supporting professional training providers with purpose-built websites

Organisations that deliver training and professional development face a particular design challenge: their websites need to make technical, often accreditation-heavy information easy to follow for people at very different stages, from someone considering a course for the first time to an experienced practitioner renewing their credentials. At the same time, these sites often need to serve a second audience altogether, whether that’s employers sponsoring places, professional members, or organisations looking to invest in staff development.

Castlegate has supported three organisations with distinct areas of specialism, spanning dental nursing, leadership development, and perioperative medicine. Below, we look at the work we carried out for Malpas House School of Dental Nursing, Talent Innovations, and the Association for Perioperative Practise, demonstrating how bespoke websites can simplify complex information while supporting long-term organisational growth.

Malpas House School of Dental Nursing

Founded by a practising dental surgeon, this newly established school needed to build a brand and a website with nothing to work from, while staying visually connected to its co-owned dental practice. The bigger challenge was making detailed accreditation information, including GDC standards and mentor requirements, feel approachable rather than daunting to prospective students and the employers who sponsor them.

We designed a logo, typography, and colour palette that gave Malpas House its own identity while maintaining a clear visual relationship with the dental practice. We then built a website structured around the practical questions applicants and sponsors are most likely to ask. Tutor profiles and bespoke photography help establish credibility from the outset, while a detailed application form captures everything the school needs from prospective students, with the flexibility to introduce online payment as the organisation grows.

The result is a website that gives a new training provider a professional identity while making the application process clearer and more accessible for both students and employers.

Talent Innovations

As Talent Innovations grew from a niche 360° feedback provider into a respected consultancy serving major global organisations, its website remained rooted in the past: cluttered, difficult to navigate, and unable to guide newcomers and experienced practitioners towards the information most relevant to them. The business needed a website that reflected its evolution, translating complex leadership and feedback concepts into something visitors could understand quickly.

We introduced a bold, colour-led design system, using tinted imagery and subtle animation to reflect the sense of transformation at the heart of Talent Innovations’ work. Previously overwhelming content was reorganised into a modular structure that the team can update independently, without requiring developer support for routine changes. Site performance and search engine optimisation were treated as integral parts of the design process, ensuring a fast, accessible experience for an international audience.

The result is a website that better reflects Talent Innovations’ expertise while giving visitors a clearer path through its services and resources.

The Association for Perioperative Practise (AfPP)

AfPP has supported theatre practitioners for more than 60 years, but its website was running on an off-the-shelf theme that limited the organisation’s ability to showcase its work, promote membership, and support job seekers effectively. Rather than replacing the platform entirely, the brief was to make better use of the existing website.

We took over management of the site, restructuring the homepage to make membership and support routes more prominent, while introducing a dedicated news hub and events section for conferences and webinars. We also merged a separate careers website into the main platform, adding search and filtering tools that help theatre professionals find suitable roles more easily. Castlegate continues to provide ongoing support and consultancy, ensuring the website evolves alongside AfPP’s long-term objectives.

The result is a more effective digital platform that supports members, promotes professional development, and brings key services together in one place.

Websites built for professional training

Malpas House, Talent Innovations, and AfPP each needed a website capable of serving multiple audiences at once: people developing new skills, experienced professionals, employers, and the organisations supporting that learning.

Whether you are launching a new training provider, expanding an established consultancy, or supporting a professional membership organisation, we build websites that make complex information easier to understand and simpler to act upon. By combining thoughtful planning with bespoke development, we create websites that support learners, strengthen organisations, and grow with your long-term ambitions.

If you have a website project you would like to discuss, we would be pleased to hear from you. Call us on 01904 654 036 or email info@castlegateit.co.uk.
