Security update: Your website is being protected

On 21 October, critical security vulnerabilities affecting PHP, the technology behind WordPress and many other websites, required urgent action across the hosting industry.

Castlegate IT worked closely with our hosting providers to prepare for the necessary security updates. Importantly, our hosting partners and Cloudflare implemented additional firewall protections before the security patches were released, helping to protect websites against attempts to exploit these vulnerabilities.

The necessary patches have now been applied across our main managed hosting environments. A small number of legacy environments remain protected by additional firewall measures while their updates are completed.

No action is required from our clients. We continue to monitor the situation and manage the necessary security measures on their behalf.

The Coders Guild

AI and digital skills training & apprenticeships

The Coders Guild is a Leeds-based digital skills training and apprenticeship provider, founded in 2012, when it launched the UK’s first industry-led digital apprenticeship. The company works with employers across the UK, from small teams to large organisations, with government funding covering 95 to 100% of apprenticeship costs for most businesses.

Training spans AI and automation, cyber security, data, DevOps and cloud, leadership, marketing, project management, product, and software development and testing, delivered through apprenticeships, short courses for leadership teams and free monthly webinars. CEO Crispin Read led the research and development behind the UK’s Level 4 AI and Automation apprenticeship standard, with Skills England as the government partner.

Independent reviews give the company 4.9 out of 5 stars, and 90% of its apprentices remain with their employer after completing their apprenticeship.
